~This is a red wool windowpane fabric stocking. It has faded gold and dark blue lines as the plaid. The backing fabric is the same as the front.
~The large snowman is a ivory color wool blanket remnant. It has lots of texture, which gives the snowman a “fluffy look”.
~The snowman is hand-sewn onto the stocking with light brown embroidery floss.
~The snowflakes are hand embroidered onto the stocking with ivory embroidery floss.
~The buttons are vintage buttons.
~The stocking is lined with muslin fabric.
~The stocking cuff is made with cotton batting, which is tea-dyed by hand.
~A heavy jute twine loop makes it ready to hand.
~Fusible interfacing is added to the body of the stocking to give it durability.
~This is a large stocking.
~The stocking is handmade by me, in the north woods of Maine.
