The Woodland Deer Stocking features a deer walking among the pine trees while the snow gently falls all around.
The Deer Stocking is made from beige and brown plaid wool fabric, with a little blue in the plaid. The backing fabric is the same as the front. The deer is made from brown plaid wool fabric and the pine trees are made from dark green and plaid green wool fabric. The "snow flurries" are hand stitched using embroidery floss. The deer and trees are all hand cut and hand sewn onto the stocking using embroidery floss.
Each stocking is lined with cotton muslin fabric and the stocking cuff is hand tea-dyed cotton batting. Fusible interfacing is added to the body of the stocking to give it durability. A heavy jute twine loop makes it ready to hang.
Finished stocking dimensions:
• 21.5" long from upper right corner of stocking to toe (56 cm)
• 8.5" wide below the cuff (21.5 cm)
• 11.5" wide from toe to heel (29 cm)
This stocking is made right here in the north woods of Maine and each stocking is individually crafted by hand, no two will be identical. Your stocking will closely resemble the one shown in these photographs.
